The goal of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is national legislation to put a price on greenhouse gas emissions. Together, we’ve made great progress toward this goal.
CCL has helped the formation of the Climate Solutions Caucus, a bipartisan group in the U.S. House of Representatives dedicated to finding cost-effective solutions to climate change.
Additionally, CCL helps citizens organize meetings with their members of Congress. CCL volunteers meet with their Representatives and Senators multiple times per year.
Finally, CCL trains citizens how to become effective lobbyists for climate action. As a member of the Iowa City Climate Advocates, you’ll learn how to influence your members of Congress and find common ground so we can get a solution in place! And the skills you learn here can be applied to any other cause.
